At Home In The Kitchen: PIZZA!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1  1/3 c warm water
  • 1 package rapid rise yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cups flour
  • Toppings of your choice!


METHOD

DOUGH:

  1. Preheat oven to 200F
  2. With warm water in a bowl, add sugar and mix
  3. Add yeast and stir, watching for bubbles
  4. Add the olive oil to water and add the flour
  5. Knead mixture into a ball, adding water if needed
  6. TURN OFF THE OVEN once it's reached 200F
  7. Place dough in an oiled stainless steel bowl and cover with plastic wrap
  8. Place in oven for an hour

SAUCE:

  1. In a pan heat olive oil and add garlic cloves
  2. Add a can of whole tomatoes
  3. Add a pinch of salt
  4. Pour contents into a blender

ASSEMBLE:

  1. Remove dough from oven and turn oven up as hot as it will go, 500-550F
  2. Start rolling out dough, put in hot oven until starts to brown
  3. Remove dough and add toppings
  4. Cook for 5-8 minutes until crispy and cheese melted
